SuperLead Podcast Episode 66 with Yolanda Cuba – Group Chief Digital and FinTech Officer at MTN on Digital Transformation Part 3 (2/2)

As the economy opens up, for most companies digital transformation is top of mind, and to that end, we started our digital transformation sub-series. This is the third installment of the series. On this podcast Maanda Tshifularo interviewed Yolanda Cuba, who is the Group Chief Digital & FINTECH Officer at MTN. Yolanda’s experience include being CEO of Vodafone Ghana, executive director at SAB, also CEO of Mvelaphanda Group at age 29, making her the youngest CEO of a JSE listed company at the time. She served at the board of ABSA for 12 years. We had a fantastic 90 minuets conversation, and we have split the interview into two podcasts, this is part 2 of the interview where I started by asking Yolanda, how leaders should be thinking about digital transformation in the context of the Covid crisis. Yolanda’s book recommendations:

  1. Execution – The Discipline of Getting Things Done, by Charles Burck, Larry Bossidy, Ram Charan
  2. The Eagle and the Springbok: Essays on Nigeria and South Africa by Adekeye Adebajo
  3. Say It Right the First Time by Loretta Malandro
  4. The Mobile MBA by Jo Owen
